Resource Innovations is seeking a Residential Energy Auditor to join our growing team in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Residential Energy Auditor with a strong background in proven experience in energy auditing, building science, or related fields, along with established relationships within housing, rebate/incentive programs, and community development. Strong leadership skills, a focus on team building and customer service, and knowledge of relevant standards and practices, particularly BPI certifications, are essential. As an/a Residential Energy Auditor you will As an early key hire in this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality in-home energy audits and ensuring quality control for our HOMES and HEAR programs. You are a customer-focused technician proficient in BPI standards and related certifications who will be conducting comprehensive in-home energy audits with a focus on income-based program participants and collaboration with contractor networks. Your oversight will extend to residential weatherization, HVAC, and water heating installation inspections, as you review QA/QC findings to ensure program integrity. Working with partners to identify and implement effective solutions based on audit findings and client feedback will be key to your success. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Resource Innovations’ program solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Define SOP for the Field Service team from Energy Audits to QA/QC.
• Recruit and train a team of BPI trained Energy Auditors
• Manages and implements the field and internal verification process across multiple programs and clients including the selection and review of assignments, track performance against metrics, and ensures all necessary forms and materials are completed
• May also conduct onsite inspections, writesinspectionreports, and provides solutions to remedy failed inspectionsacross the teams
• Develops and implements Energy audit protocols, QA/QC requirements and implementation plans
• Provides education, training, and coaching to trade allies to minimize failed inspections, mitigate faultyworkmanship, and remedy failures when they occur
• Conducts field inspections as well as oversees a staff conducting field inspections, andeffectively manages trade allies
• Reviews program QC findings, reports and remedies inaccuracies
• Leverages best practices and continuous improvement plans to implement long term solutions in partnershipwith the client and Resource Innovations’ Program Managers
• Identifies root cause analyses and makes recommendations as required for client facing reports
• Generates weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to audit, monitor and measure performance andrelevant metrics
• Manages team to ensure contract compliance in forecasting requirements and key performanceindicators
• Conducts internal and external trainings to include webinars, tutorials and conference calls on relevantbusiness processes and standards
• Manages the process of regularly reviewing and updating critical program documentation includingfield verification guides and forms, processing manuals, policy and procedure manuals.
• Keeps up to date on industry trends and insights with regards to policy and procedure manuals to ensure program materials are most relevant
• Works as part of a cross functional team that includes program operations, IT, Marketing, and Customer Service/Processing
• Meets with contractor management, customer Service and Processing lead regularly to ensure best practices and continuous improvement initiatives are aligned and implemented effectively
• Conducts scheduled and unscheduled reviews of the application process to determine where improvements can be made

• Must be located in or willing to relocate to the greater Pittsburgh, PA or Philadelphia, PA area within 30 days of acceptance for this role
• A Bachelor’s degree and 2+years’ experiencein a quality control and quality assurance role, or consulting, energy efficiency orutility experience highly desired
• Knowledge of building science, construction and technical expertiseis required
• Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle to visit customer and client sites
• Ability to travel 25% to 75% of the time (limited overnight travel)
• Must be a US Citizen

Preferred

• BPI Building Analyst and Envelope certifications preferred
• HERS and RESNET Rater certification preferred
• Experience with SnuggPro a plus
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
