Position Overview
The position reports to the Chief Revenue Officer, and is responsible for driving the acquisition of new Consumer Products/Brands, Financial Services, Insurance, Auto, Travel and Hospitality clients to Path2Response. The Director, Client Development will maintain and create a well-qualified and rich pipeline of prospective opportunities through direct relationships or via media partners/agencies. They will handle all aspects of generating new business and work with our Operations and Account Services team to ensure client on-boarding is complete. They will manage their pipeline with limited supervision, be abreast of the business implications, and have a keen sense of urgency and strong follow-up skills.
Principal Responsibilities
- Develops customer relationships, creates, and maintains a rich pipeline for data sales development
- Utilizes data industry knowledge to differentiate Path2Response products from others
- Possesses drive to exceed targets and achieve aggressive business development goals
- Uses an entrepreneurial mindset to continually develop new leads
- Plans and executes pursuit and win strategies for specified opportunities
- Owns the pitch process from start to finish including legal documentation, onboarding data, and transitioning to the Account Services team
- Creates comprehensive, compelling, and effective proposals, providing clients product offerings based on a clear understanding of data needs and client objectives
- Ensures contact database is continually updated
- Travel, as needed, to achieve your goals
- Regular reporting on progress
- High level of market knowledge
Requirements
What You Need to be Successful in This Role
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in direct marketing (online AND offline) or database marketing sales
- An existing network of industry connections
- Experience developing and maintaining rapport with key decision-makers
- Demonstration of a mastery level of sales techniques
- MarTech lead generation experience
- A proven track record in business development - developing and on-boarding new clients
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), presentation, and listening skills
- Hands-on, motivated self-starter with the ability to take direction and manage tasks with minimal supervision within
an energized, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment - Flexibility and resourcefulness
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Loves being part of a winning team

Additional Details
- Location: Remote or Broomfield, CO
- Compensation Range: $158,000 - $175,000 annually
