Description
We are looking for professional PA for our Statesville office who can deliver medical care to a wide variety of patients. The PA will be responsible for caring for adult patients from 18 years old through geriatrics, maintaining accurate and current patient records and administering follow-up appointments to patients as required. The successful candidate will work with the team to assist in delivering Premium care to each and every patient.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Performs initial patient screenings, patient history, physical examinations, and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and according with the North Carolina medical Society.
- Updates patient records and check records for accuracy at each patient appointment.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and healthcare needs.
- Records physical findings and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.
- Reviews labs, x-rays, and emergency reports daily.
- Determines the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options.
- Refers patients to specialist services, as needed.
- Delivers quality care while maintaining all company metrics pertaining to productivity.
- Serves as the resource patient's need for ongoing care information, counseling and provide guidance for any patient with critical conditions.
- Discusses this and coordinate with other internal health care professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan.
- Submits health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review and evaluation.
- Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
- Treats acute diseases and infections.
- Treats and manages chronic diseases such as CLL.
- Cooperates with operational initiatives for improvements of the business.
- Provides supervision to low-level certified staff in accordance with North Carolina Medical Society.
- Reviews daily staff communications.
- Participates in special screening, training and community out reach activities as determined.
- Participates in cooperative arrangements with other healthcare providers in the area.
- Performs all other medically related assigned duties.
- Agrees to see "walk-ins" on short notice, as needed and as possible, such as to feel empty time slots on the schedule created by "no-shows" and to promote patient access to care.
Qualifications and experience:
- Physician assistant certification with active license/certification.
- Would prefer a candidate with 2 years of hematology/oncology experience, or family practice, or internal medicine, or primary care experience.
- New graduates will also be considered.
- Ability to work within a team and take direction.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Past background checks, and reference checks.
- Must be able to make sound judgment based on assessment and data available and act accordingly.
- Must be able to be flexible, innovative, and work independently.
- Must possess skills for computer usage in written or communication.
- Must possess good interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize multiple functions or tasks.
